Sweden vs France - World Cup 2018 Qualifiers Preview & Tips

Ready for the World Cup 2018 Qualifiers? If you're a fan of Sweden or France you should mark your calendars for Friday, June 9, 2017 / 21:45. Who has a better shot at winning this World Cup 2018 Qualifier match? It's time for the World Cup 2018 Qualifiers. Fans and critics are looking forward to this clash. Janne Andersson and Didier Deschamps will do their best to motivate their players and win this match. Who will be victorious in the end: Sweden or France?

Andersson’s “new” Sweden have been a joy to watch and without a doubt, there are players who are enjoying life without Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the squad. Ibrahimovic was so dominant and rightly so, as Sweden were a pretty successful one-man team during the Ibrahimovic days.

Forsberg (a player that both Bayern Munich and Arsenal are trying to sign) scored 2 of the Swedish goals in their most recent WC 2018 qualifying match, at home to Belarus (4-0). Jansson replaced Nilsson-Lindelöf in their central defence, but Lindelöf is back in contention for this match. Olsson and Guidetti, also absent against Belarus, will be available for this match. Sweden looks very much OK.

France won 2-1 at home to Sweden and they demonstrated full form last week defeating Paraguay 5-0 in a friendly match with Giroud scoring 3 of their goals.

He played up front together with Griezmann and  Payet and, as always, we are blinded by the quality of the French squad. Against Paraguay,  Pogba played the 1st half and then he was replaced by Kante in the 2nd half. Varane is fit to play and he will most likely join Koscielny in their central defence.

On paper, Sweden can hope for nothing in this match, but you know how it is, the matches are decided on the pitch and by goals.

Our tipsters will back an X2 match but the odds are very slim.
